UNIVERSITY PROJECTS

PROJECTS DONE DURING MY STUDIES

Welcome to the part of the page where I present my university projects. All projects on the page were done by different teams of students I was part of. Collaborating with brands like Van Kleef, TrueKinetix or SAIL was an honor, and I feel very grateful that my school enables me to collaborate with clients.

I am already excited for my graduation project coming in 2026!

DESIGN THINKING - MARKET RESEARCH - CLIENT RELATIONS

Collaborating with Van Kleef, a traditional Dutch brand with a strong heritage, was an honor I had in the first project I collaborated on during my studies. The client came to us with a question: How might the Van Kleef Museum share the experience with more people and create higher sales and revenue while having very limited physical space to do so? After our research, we came up with three different concepts that aimed at solving this problem and further developed two of them: the Van Kleef YouTube channel and the Van Kleef merchandise line. I was personally responsible for developing the Van Kleef merchandise concept which focused on offering museum visitors items from a gift shop to better remember and share their experience. This project was very insightful mainly because I learned how to conduct qualitative and quantitative research, it introduced me to the method of design thinking, and it taught me how to communicate not only with the target group but also with the client which proved to be very crucial in the next projects.

VALUE CREATION - VIDEO PRODUCTION - PROJECT MANAGMENT

SAIL Amsterdam is a renowned maritime event that celebrates the rich naval heritage of The Netherlands. A few years ago, they launched their youth project ER VAAR, which offers young people the opportunity to experience life at sea, fostering personal growth and leadership skills. It is aimed at young people who have trouble fitting in society or come from underprivileged families and feel lost. In the first year of my studies, I had the honor of collaborating on such an impactful project with my teammates. The goal of our project was to shoot a promotional video and capture the essence of the project. This project taught me how important it is to understand the added value of the things I work on because it can offer a new perspective and better understanding of the client. And the result?

MARKET RESEARCH - BUSINESS STRATEGY - LEADERSHIP SKILLS

In the second semester of my second year of studies, I worked on an export research project for TrueKinetix, a Dutch company specializing in high-tech fitness products with unique patented technology. The company wanted to export beyond the Netherlands and was looking for a potential country and strategy to choose. I was the manager of an amazing project team called STARE and we evaluated France as a possible export market, examining its economic stability, cultural fit for fitness products, and strategic partnership opportunities. TrueKinetix approved of our choice and we continued with export research and marketing strategy for France. The research played a key role in shaping the company's market entry strategy, focusing on localized marketing efforts, product leadership, and sustainability initiatives. It was important to analyze and assess the differences between Dutch and French consumer behavior. Based on that, we recommended key adjustments in the operational and marketing plans to ensure a successful market introduction in France. I am very thrilled I could collaborate with such an innovative and dynamic company as TrueKinetix as it allowed me to get better skills in market research, cultural assessment, and strategic planning.

DIGITAL MARKETING - CONCEPT CREATION - LEADERSHIP SKILLS

In 2024, I worked on a project for StrongBody, a wellness brand for Dutch women aged 40 to 55. The business was looking for solutions on how can their target group connect online with like-minded women improving exercise motivation and a sense of community. After research, our team introduced three different marketing concepts to the client, including social media campaigns, a new service launch, and a website extension. After careful evaluation, the client selected the concept of developing a gamified website extension called StrongBody League, aimed at creating a more personalized and engaging user experience. The new platform introduced features like personalized workout goals, streak tracking, connecting with friends, and a section for saving favorite workouts and recipes. The campaign for StrongBody League focused mainly on educating users about troubles women face when they age, for example, menopause or burnout. It also focused on boosting loyalty and promoting StrongBody’s mission of community and well-being. This project strengthened my skills in digital marketing, content planning, and customer-focused communication, ensuring a successful launch and strong user engagement. It also allowed me to improve my leadership skills as I was the general manager of an amazing project team called MUSE.
