Who’s

that

girl

?

Born in Prague, Czech Republic. Studying at the  University of Applied Sciences in The Hague, Netherlands. Currently on Erasmus in Madrid, Spain.

I believe finding a good colleague is not only about knowledge and experience but also about finding a good match for the existing team. Somebody you are excited to have morning coffee and spend lunch breaks  with.

So let’s get to know me!

My Story

It all began when I realized I like being creative, expressive, and social rather than learning all the bones in the human body in Latin. Yes, that's right. I wanted to go to medical school and then law school, and then I realized I could actually choose what I wanted instead of trying to meet the expectations of others. So when I was 19 years old (note of the author: and graduated with honors), I packed my suitcase and jumped on a one-way flight to the Netherlands. The first year was very challenging and full of new, not only positive, experiences. However, I am grateful for every little mistake I made because of them I am where I am. Before I realized the second year of my studies came around and suddenly all pieces fell into place. I became more confident in my life and I started working on my newly discovered leadership skills, which resulted in leading two project teams at my university, one winning The Most Outstanding prize for a project. I continued developing my leadership skills as well as educating myself and speaking up about gender equality and consumer behavior of Gen Z. Currently, I am on Erasmus in Madrid where I am focusing on Marketing and Communication, PR and Design.

HOW DID I GET HERE?

My personality

WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT MYSELF?

I dare to say that the experiences I had in my life made me know myself very well. I believe that knowing yourself is the base for getting what you want in life. I'm a very extroverted and social person who loves a good joke. My sense of humor is important to me because it makes me not take everything so seriously. My friends say I am a very open-minded and non-judgemental person which are very biased opinions but I will take it, thank you my dear friends. I am the oldest of three siblings so I naturally tend to take charge but I also really like guidance and inspiration from more experienced people because I know I have still a lot to learn. In people, I value mainly honesty and tolerance for others.

My Hobbies

WHAT DO I LIKE TO DO WHEN I AM NOT LOOKING FOR AN INTERNSHIP?

In my free time, I have two moods - making use of my fully charged social battery or the opposite - charging my social battery. I love spending quality time with my friends and family, I love playing board games and card games. I love going on trips and seeing new places. However, I also value my alone time and in those moments I love to cook, run, and draw. Out of these three hobbies, I am only really good at one but practice makes perfect, right?

My Strengths

During my time in the Netherlands, I’ve learned a lot about myself. Based on my own reflections and the feedback from my teachers, teammates, and bosses, I can confidently say I have multiple strengths I’m proud of. I’m a good communicator, I handle and give feedback well, and I’m a very honest person. Working in multiple diverse teams has taught me to put the team’s needs above my own, and I believe I’m a good team player. I’ve been working from a young age, which has made me hardworking and given me a strong work ethic. I always put effort into what I do and don’t like putting my name under anything I’m not proud of. I’m also a social person and enjoy connecting with others.

WHAT SETS ME APART?

My Weaknesses

ERROR: This page does not exist

No, of course, it does and I am happy for it because without weakness there would be no strengths. My biggest weakness at work and school is my strong sense of responsibility, which can sometimes lead me to take on too much and feel overwhelmed. I’m working on improving my work-life balance to address this issue. Another weakness is that I sometimes struggle with prioritization and focus too much on details without seeing the bigger picture, which can affect my time management. In these cases, I’ve found that seeking guidance from more experienced teammates and colleagues is very helpful.
